Stroll through the CBD
East Street is the heart of Rockhampton's main business district with cafes, boutique shopping, bars, pubs and restaurants situated amongst the tree-lined avenue.
On East Street you'll find a collection of boutique clothing and homewares shops to browse through, as well as one of Queensland's longest running department stores, Stewarts.
Once you're ready for a coffee break, head to one of the many cafes along the street. Some local picks include Coffee Society or Jolt Cafe, or just around the corner from the main street you'll find Two Professors.
At night, East Street turns into the main thoroughfare for Rockhampton's nightlife with the Giddy Goat, The Oxford Hotel and Headricks Lane a favourite amongst locals looking for a fun night out with friends. If you're into live music, head along to 45 East where some of Rockhampton's best local musicians play on weekends. In and around the city streets you'll also find pubs and a nightclub, dependent on what you're looking for.
