EVENT DETAILS

The Queensland Country Rugby Championships are the pinnacle of rugby in country Queensland with teams representing all regions of the state. For the first time Rugby Capricornia is hosting the event in 2023 and 2024.

We are simultaneously running a combined junior and senior championships in a massive carnival of rugby including girls and boys from U13 to senior men and women's teams. The Championships are the state pathway tournament for selection to the Queensland Country Heelers and Orchids representative teams and a well trodden pathway to selection for elite professional rugby.

The 2023 Championships are being hosted at the Victoria Park Sporting fields with competition from the 30th June 2023 to 2nd July 2023. Around 800 athletes and thousands of coaching and support staff, parents and supporters will be converging on Rockhampton for this peak sporting event.
