Four festive events to sleigh the season
Rockhampton is set to sparkle this festive season with the launch of the Christmas Starts Here Events Trail. Bringing together four of the region's most cherished Christmas traditions into one connected celebration, the trail invites residents and visitors to experience the magic of Christmas across the city.
Running from late November through to Christmas Eve, Christmas Starts Here encourages the community to follow a festive trail through four unique events, each offering a different way to celebrate the season with family and friends.
Visitors can step back in time and enjoy the charm of the free Heritage Village Christmas Markets on 28 November, with over 160 market and food stalls. From there, the festivities continue with Santa at the CBD Christmas Fair, enjoy Christmas craft workshops, markets, and the Christmas Tree Lighting on 5 December, before audiences gather for the much-loved Christmas Carols at the Pilbeam Theatre on 11 and 12 December. Running from November 27 to Christmas Eve is Radiance at the brand-new location of the Heritage Village, delivering an awe-inspiring illuminated experience that reimagines the spirit of Christmas past.
