Know Before You Go

Before you ride

If you're planning a mountain biking trip away to ride Rockhampton's trails, we've put together our top tips to help you from when to come from where to stay, including the best rides for families and beginners.

when to COME

With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Rockhampton is a great destination to ride year round. Yet in those cooler, winter months our region really turns it on with sunny days, blue skies and warm weather. The mornings are cool, but by the time you hit the trails you'll be warmed up in no time.

Our trails are open year round, with June through to August offering peak rides - perfect for those looking to escape the winter down south.
