Mark your calendar! From the stroke of midnight on February 1st through to November 1st, Rockhampton’s waters transform into a barramundi fishing paradise. This is your golden window to target these legendary fighters and bring home an unforgettable catch that’ll have everyone talking!.
When the season closes, barramundi must not be targeted to allow the fish to spawn. If you happen to catch a barra within season close, just remember to release it back into the water.
