Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra invites audiences on a vivid musical journey with Echoes of Europe, a radiant mid‑winter concert glowing with colour, drama and the brilliance of the continent’s greatest composers. Under the assured baton of Chief Conductor Owen Clarke, the evening sparkles to life with Mozart’s effervescent Magic Flute Overture before acclaimed Australian violinist Margaret Blades joins the orchestra for Mendelssohn’s deeply expressive Violin Concerto in E Minor, a work adored for its lyrical beauty and exquisite virtuosity.

The night culminates in the sweeping emotional power of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, a storm‑lit, full‑blooded celebration of energy and Romantic intensity—an unforgettable orchestral experience.
