On the 18^th -20^th of September 2025, North Rockhampton SHS is proud to launch the very first State Schools Cup—an open-age (16–18 years) Rugby League carnival uniting state high schools from across the Queensland. This exciting new event features 13-a-side competitions for both boys and girls, celebrating the incredible talent and teamwork within Queensland’s public education system.

As the inaugural year of this inclusive and competitive carnival, the State Schools Cup offers a unique platform to spotlight the skill, passion, and sportsmanship of our young athletes. With the majority of Queensland’s high school students attending state schools, this event promises to become a cornerstone of the school sporting calendar.

More than just a competition, the State Schools Cup begins a new tradition—one that will create lasting memories, forge strong school connections, and inspire the next generation of rugby league stars across our great state.
